Pursuant to Article 17 sections 1 of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament  and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on market abuse (market abuse regulation) and repealing Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Directives 2003/124/EC, 2003/125/EC and 2004/72/EC (OJ L 173 of 12.06.2014, hereinafter referred to as Regulation No.  596/2014), the Management Board of Alma Market S.A. (hereinafter referred to as the Company) publishes inside information provide confidential information about planned significant redundancies in the Company. The procedure will be carried out under the Act of 13 March 2003 on specific rules for termination of employment for reasons not attributable to employees. Exemptions will be covered by the 1,321 employees. In connection with the planned redundancies, the Company proceeded to the notification procedure, the trade union organization, and then to notify the competent labor office. The direct causes of redundancies is the reduction of unprofitable stores and the intention to reduce employment at the headquarters of the reduced scale of operations.
